Increase in civil cases in the Magistracy

The Journal today echoes of the figures provided by the Magistracy, confirmed by sources inside the judicial system in the sense of a significant increase in cases of civil jurisdiction, with the economic crisis as the main cause of this situation.
An example that shows how it affects the delicate economic situation in the judicial system is manifested in the increase of labor cases, especially motivated by strong volume of staff layoffs. In 2007 entered the Magistracy and 127 cases in 2008, slightly less, 114. This year, during the first 11 months, the figure had increased significantly in relation to any previous year, namely in 30 cases, or in other words, nearly 20%.
The sources also denote increased civil proceedings for unpaid bills. The court orders (for debts less than $ 3,000) as they arrive at 802, 76 more cases than all last year and 254 more than in 2007. Such cases benefit by being a kind of complaint very quickly, with a system that requires no trial lawyer.
Along the same lines has also noticed an increase since 2007 of the ordinary proceedings (for debts greater than 12,000 euros). From this data the Magistracy is justified by the fact that, with rising unemployment, there are mortgages that are left without paying, and this situation has a direct impact on these procedures. In this sense, there is increasingly the situation of those who choose to say "here's the keys" and disassociate himself from his home. But anyway, be back to finish a trial to resolve the situation.
On the other side of the balance, and explained by the internal sources are decreasing the number of abbreviated procedures (debt of 3,000 to 12,000 euros). This is a decline already started in the last year. 793 records entered in 2007, 2008, 762, and 2009, 543, until November.
The total number of cases concluded in the year will be higher than in 2008, as confirmed by the sources, and in 2008 it increased to about 2009. This situation obviously means more workload to the Magistracy. Since this entity is considered that the system does not collapse, as it is occurring in other legal systems next to Andorra. However, it was acknowledged that "we are tight, with a large volume of records." A volume, however, the Magistracy considered "acceptable."
