Educational farms

By Order dated 04/08/09 ( BOPA 28/21 ) the Government approved the Regulation of educational farms, which regulates the conditions that must meet the educational activities carried out within the framework of the facilities of the farms in order to ensure both the safety and educational quality and hygiene of the facilities, structures and means used, meet new educational needs that are intended to help publicize the role of agriculture and livestock in the economy, society and culture of Andorra. The offer of this type of service is ultimately an economic activity complementary to the main agricultural and livestock activities that provide additional revenue and thus contributes to improving farm income.
The development of educational activities within the area of farms from the same sector contributes to the fact that Andorran society understands and values the roles that farmers and ranchers to bring the rest of society, especially as it says Article 2, paragraph b) of the Act for farming, particularly with regard to improving the quality of life and increase the tourist attraction of the valleys, improving the landscape quality of Andorra maintaining the richness of flora and fauna and the contribution to the reduction of natural hazards such as avalanches, landslides, and wildfires.
